505 Games’ first-person game set in a debris-filled space station was shown off in a world premiere trailer at tonight’s awards.
Bucking the sub-60-second teaser trend at The Game Awards, 505 Games unveiled this world premiere trailer for Adrift earlier tonight. Described on its website as a “first-person experience that tells the story of an astronaut in peril,” Adrift was announced earlier this year, though we haven’t seen much about it until tonight.
The trailer shows an astronaut floating aimlessly through a space station that appears to be falling apart before making his or her way into the great vastness of space. According to 505 Games’ description, “The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources, and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged emergency escape vehicle and safely return home.”
Adrift is due out next summer.
