Unless this gets debunked, it looks like we finally know how the Synthezoid Avenger will appear.
OK guys, prepare to be mildly excited in a completely detached way. Fresh off the heels of news that RDJ has ruled out – for now anyway – a fourth installment of Iron Man, we bring you the first ever glimpse at what Vision, the Android member of the Avengers, is actually going to look like in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
For months, Marvel has been extremely circumspect about how the character, played by Paul Bettany (who also voices Tony Stark’s AI J.A.R.V.I.S.) will actually look. Until this weekend, when the image you see here started showing up… everywhere. It’s an apparently legitimate banner poster for Avengers 2 and it appears to be the first ever public reveal of Vision. (That’s vision in the background flying, with the yellow cape.)
I first saw it on Instagram but so far no verifiable source for the image can be confirmed. Since we’ve already seen other blatant hoaxes put forth as images of Vision, I waited until this morning to write this up just to make sure it wasn’t debunked. As I write this, the image appears to be real and not a clever mock up.
Not much to say except this: Vision here looks very close to how he looks in the comics. Here’s an image for comparison:
That is kind of awesome. In the meantime, here’s a larger size version of the image at the top of the page. (Click to enlarge.)
