Ghost in the Shell was originally a manga published in 1989 and later adapted into an animated film in 1995. The cyberpunk series follows protagonist Major Motoko Kusanagi, who leads an organization dedicated to stopping cyberterrorism. DreamWorks is working on a live-action adaptation of the movie; Scarlett Johansson will be starring in the film.

There is no word on an American release.
