The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Expansion Coming May 31

The final installment of Geralt’s story is coming later this month.

The expansion that CD Projket Red is calling “Geralt’s final mission,” will be available to players on May 31, CD Projekt Red announced today. In a press release, the company said that “Blood and Wine makes The Witcher 3 complete.”

There’s also a brand new teaser trailer that accompanies the announcement. It hints at the presence of something darker in Toussaint.

The expansion will add 90 new quests and over 30 hours of content. There’s no word on if the series might continue without Geralt, but even if it doesn’t, it certainly went out on a high note, as The Witcher 3 was one of the most heralded games of 2015.

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the Game Director for Witcher 3, said of the expansion, “There’s also a massive amount of features we’re giving gamers with this expansion like a dynamic Point of Interest system, a new Gwent deck, new endgame mutation mechanics, and even a place Geralt can call home…. And it’s all happening in a new region as big as No Man’s Land in the base game.”
