EA has detailed further events surrounding its EA Play Live show presentation set to arrive later this month, now called EA Play Live Spotlight Series. The publisher laid out a five-day schedule on its website, listing four panels that will take place in the weeks leading up to the main event:
- The Future of First-Person Shooters – July 8 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET
- EA <3s Independent Studios – July 13 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET
- Madden NFL 22 All-Access: Scouting – July 19 at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET
- More EA SPORTS! – July 20 at 10 p.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET
- EA Play Live – July 22 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET
EA’s FPS-focused show will bring on a number of the publisher’s leading developers to talk about two of its most popular shooters – Apex Legends and this year’s Battlefield 2042. Meanwhile, the indie-focused showcase will spotlight some of the publisher’s independent partners like Hazelight, Zoink, and Velan Studios, while the Madden event will explore how the game’s community is helping shape Madden NFL 22. EA is, however, staying mum about what will appear during its More EA SPORTS! show, simply saying that it will feature “an extremely cool new addition to an extremely popular and long-running EA SPORTS franchise.”
Many fans may be hoping to see updates on the next Dragon Age or Mass Effect games during EA Play Live this month. However, developer BioWare was quick to chime in to confirm its absence from the EA Play Live Spotlight Series schedule. While the teams are still “hard at work” on both upcoming RPG entries, BioWare was only able to confirm that Star Wars: The Old Republic fans can look forward to more content this year. Other than a handful of cinematic videos, we have yet to see much of the next Dragon Age or Mass Effect.
We’re hard at work creating the next @dragonage and @masseffect games and have some exciting stuff coming to @SWTOR this year. While we won’t be showing anything at EA Play Live, be sure to check out our SWTOR Livestream at 12PM PT today for info on what’s to come!

But while it’s true that you shouldn’t expect to see either of EA’s classic RPG franchises in the EA Play Live Spotlight Series schedule, a new report indicates that EA Motive will reveal a Dead Space remake later this month.
