A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer trailer just dropped to garner up some excitement for the game and its upcoming open beta. During a reveal event today, Activision and developer Infinity Ward talked all things multiplayer in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. To open things up, though, was an action-packed trailer with some Metallica to fire things up. The trailer shows off plenty of new killstreaks, as well as what looks to be the return of the tactical nuke killstreak.
Part of the event also saw the announcement of an approaching open beta, too. Players who pre-order the game will get early access to the beta. Check out the full beta schedule below thanks to the Call of Duty News Twitter account.

As the tweet highlights, Weekend 2 in particular is sure to be a lot of fun considering cross-play will be enabled during this time.
Infinity Ward calls Call of Duty: Modern Warfare a love letter to the original Modern Warfare series. Part of this meant balancing both “fresh and familiar” so as to avoid making the game feel like a remaster of the original series. Judging by the trailer, the team seems to have succeeded in this goal.
Last month, Activision let a few streamers get together to show off the game mode Gunfight. A little while later, players got to enjoy the gameplay footage in 4K.
Today’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare event is still going on, so keep checking in for all multiplayer mode details.
