Thirteen games will be available, including multiple versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. It is the SNES version of said fighting game that is of particular interest. Konami has revealed the SNES TMNT Tournament Fighters will get rollback netcode in The Cowabunga Collection.

A few of the beat ’em up games have nabbed online play, but the SNES version of TMNT Tournament Fighters is the only edition of that entry to have the feature. Given the fact it is a fighting game, it’s a godsend Tournament Fighters is receiving rollback netcode.
For those not in the know, rollback netcode is a way of reducing lag between online matches. It makes brawls feel local with attacks feeling like they connect instantly, even though your opponent is playing through the internet. Many current fighters use this quality-of-life improvement, so it’s great to see it being added to a classic video game.
TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection will launch on August 30, 2022 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. Developer Digital Eclipse is also including a bunch of design documents with text translated into multiple languages.
