At the Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced several new Assassin’s Creed projects, including Codename Red, Codename Hexe, Codename Jade, and the confirmation of a Netflix TV series. Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate) with Creative Director Jonathan Dumont, and it will be the next open-world RPG in the franchise, set in feudal Japan. Meanwhile, Codename Hexe is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal with Creative Director Clint Hocking; no details on its setting have been offered (but previous reports indicated it is set during witch trials of the Holy Roman Empire).
Both Codename Red and Hexe will be available as part of the Assassin’s Creed Infinity platform. Ubisoft confirmed it is investigating how to incorporate standalone multiplayer back into Assassin’s Creed through the Assassin’s Creed Infinity platform, since these different experiences are all going to be interconnected moving into the future.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will be a mobile entry in the franchise, a free-to-play AAA RPG action adventure set in ancient China where you create your own character. It’s a pretty nice one-two punch to have Assassin’s Creed Codename Red set in feudal Japan and Jade set in ancient China.

And finally, Jeb Stuart (Vikings: Valhalla, Die Hard) will be the showrunner on a “genre-bending” Assassin’s Creed TV show being developed by Ubisoft Film & Television and Netflix.
Prior to all of these major reveals, Ubisoft showcased the cinematic announcement trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is available for preorder now.
