During today’s Tokyo Game Show Capcom Online Program, Capcom confirmed that its Resident Evil 4 remake will now come to PlayStation 4 (PS4), in addition to its previously announced platforms. Resident Evil 4 remake producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi appeared during the broadcast to confirm the news, saying, “We are progressing with development of Resident Evil 4 for PlayStation 5 and latest-gen systems, and we’ve been looking into releasing on previous generation hardware as well.” That means that the survival-horror reimagining will come to PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S in total. Despite the general mention of “previous generation hardware,” Capcom did not clarify whether we can expect to see the Resident Evil 4 remake on Xbox One.
Hirabayashi added that the team will share more information about the remake during a Resident Evil Showcase next month. You can watch the Capcom Online Program from Tokyo Game Show 2022 at 14:09 in the video for everything on the Resident Evil 4 remake, including the PS4 addition.
