When you get a wand from Ollivanders, you can change the way it looks. You can alter wood type, length, and other things. There is also a special slider that changes flexibility, from Quite Bendy all the way through to Unyielding. You could take flexibility to mean how floppy or otherwise a wand is, but there is also another meaning.
The Wizarding World website says that “wand flexibility or rigidity denotes the degree of adaptability and willingness to change possessed by the wand-and-owner pair.” That suggests if a wizard or witch picks up an unyielding wand that belongs to someone else it will not obey them, or that the owner is particularly stubborn.
What Wand Flexibility Does
You may be wondering if wand flexibility actually does something in Hogwarts Legacy, and unfortunately, the answer is that it doesn’t. The option really only exists for those interested in Harry Potter lore, and apart from that, wand flexibility doesn’t matter at all. The same holds true for every other choice when it comes to building a wand in the game. All of your options are cosmetic, so what you choose comes entirely down to preference.
Keep in mind, though, that however you make your wand, you won’t be able to go back and change it later. At the time of writing, the only opportunity you’ll get to customize your wand is at the start of Hogwarts Legacy, so make sure you’re choosing something you really like and want to stick with.
