How to Start “Ghost of Our Love” in Hogwarts Legacy
The location of the treasure you’re looking for will be on a treasure map called the “Map with Floating Candles.” Just how you’ll start the quest depends on which house you chose, so here’s a breakdown of what you need to know on that front:
To start “Ghost of Our Love” as a Gryffindor, you’ll want to finish the “The Hunt for the Missing Pages” quest, which will bring you to a cemetery in Hogsmeade. You’ll find the “Map with Floating Candles” on the ground after you finish talking with a ghost there.
Ravenclaws will need to progress the “Ollivander’s Heirloom” quest and get the map from the top of the Owlery. It’s very easy to find.
For those in Slytherin, you’ll end up underground as part of “Scrope’s Last Hope.” After finishing a puzzle involving an altar, you’ll find a hidden area with a chest that has the “Map with Floating Candles.”
Finally, Hufflepuff need to do or be doing the “Prisoner of Love” and go to Claire Beaumont’s shop in Upper Hogsfield. You’ll find a chest near the door with the “Map with Floating Candles.”
Where to Find the Treasure in the Ghost of Our Love Quest in Hogwarts Legacy
Although there are different ways to get the “Map with Floating Candles” in Hogwarts Legacy, the location you need to find on the treasure map is always in the Forbidden Forest. The map shows the Forbidden Forest bridge as well as the forest entrance with its warning signs. You will need to go there at night. If it’s not night, go to your map and advance the time.
Now, cast Lumos. You don’t need to hold down the spell button because casting Lumos toggles it from on to off and back again. Go to the Forbidden Forest archway, then walk towards the stone bridge. As you’re nearly there, three candles will appear. You can also pick up a love letter from the edge of the bridge, but you don’t technically need it.
Follow the candles and you’ll be taken to a location that’s set up for a midnight meeting. There you’ll find a treasure chest that has the Treasure Seeker’s Scarf and 400 Galleons. Finding this treasure will complete the quest and earn you 180 XP.
