After an open beta that had a ton of connection issues, Payday 3 is finally here. However, many are still reporting issues connecting to the game. If that’s happening to you, you’re not along. Players are getting, among other problems, error messages when trying to log in and start up matchmaking. One of the first things to try if you’re getting the “no network connection” error message is to try restarting either your PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X/S. In some cases, that’s going to help the problem. You’ll also want to make sure your internet connection is fine and able to connect to the web. If that’s not working for you, try resetting your router. You may also need to adjust your firewall or antivirus settings to make sure that’s not preventing the game from working. Additionally, consistent problems with connecting may be worth contacting your ISP for to make sure there aren’t any issues or outages in your area.
If all of that looks correct, there’s still a chance Payday 3 may not work. There are a lot of problems that can plague game servers when a multiplayer-centric title first launches, as the loads can be higher than developers expect. On X on the day of launch, the Payday 3 developers noted that there are currently some issues with authentication, which indicates there are larger server problems at the time of this article’s update. However, that seems to be centered more around the Nebula Login Error Code. As such, if you’re having problems, the best thing you can do is just wait. Starbreeze Studios later confirmed that those issues were resolved. Going forward, the best place to find out what’s going on is social media, specifically for the game.

In the case that everything else seems to be working fine, it’s likely that the Payday 3 servers are simply down or not working properly. If that’s what’s happening, check their official account on X or any other platform for updates, since it’s there that they’re likely to be sharing information. For now, the only real solution is to sit tight as Starbreeze Studios fixes the problems on their end.
