Due to a listing on Steam, we now know that previously Nintendo Switch-exclusive Daemon X Machina will be releasing on PC on Feb. 13. Like its console counterpart, it will cost $59.99 on the PC storefront. However, there will be a 20 percent discount for those that preorder, so players can get it at the discounted rate of $47.99.
Developed by Japanese studio Marvelous, the third-person shooter features plenty of action and mech combat. While it was self-published in the developer’s native country, Nintendo took on worldwide distribution for the decently received shooter. It originally released on Sept. 13, 2019, so the Daemon X Machina PC release arrives exactly five months later.
Featuring mech designs by Shoji Kawamori (whose previous work includes anime such as Macross Plus, Ghost in the Shell, and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, alongside games like Devil May Cry 5 and Armored Core), the action game has players working as a mercenary against corrupted artificial intelligence that is trying to destroy all humans. The player’s mech, which is called an Arsenal, can be customized for battle and appearance. Beyond a single player campaign, players can also enjoy online cooperative play where they can work together to take on bosses or explore enemy bases in order to unlock new gear. Rounding out Daemon X Machina‘s feature set is competitive online multiplayer that features one-on-one and two-on-two battles for players to test their skills in.
