A Prince of Persia remake might be on its way soon, per an alleged retail website leak. Guatemalan retailer Max has two separate listings for “Prince of Persia Remake” for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Both listings note that the game will release in November 2020.
There seems to be a discrepancy in pricing on both platforms, with the PlayStation 4 version being listed at Q539.00 (Guatemalan Quetzel) and Q629.00 on Nintendo Switch. Those prices convert to about $70 and $82 USD, respectively, but pricing conventions for games differ across different regions and may not be significant.
Journalist Liam Robertson chimed in with his thoughts and believes that the listing may be legitimate, as he talked about rumors of a 2D remake of the original Prince of Persia last year.
I am making an assumption that this is the same project I heard about. If it is, it is real.

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier has implied the listing is legitimate as well.
Video game retailers sure love leaking Ubisoft's surprise announcements https://t.co/3BP8pbgdBK

Ubisoft owns the Prince of Persia IP and so far hasn’t announced any updates regarding the franchise. However, its next Ubisoft Forward event is confirmed for September. Maybe an official announcement for a Prince of Persia remake will occur then, perhaps with Xbox One and PC as additional platforms, if this listing is legitimate in the first place.
If this remake is a 2D title, it might explain the quick turnaround time between a possible September announcement and the listing’s rumored November release date.
