The Pokémon Company revealed during a presentation today that the second portion of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass, The Crown Tundra, will launch on Oct. 22. In addition to an entirely new setting and story to explore, the DLC will also include new creatures to catch, new in-game items, and more. Watch some new footage of what the content has to offer in the video below.
Joining the long list of items and features coming with Pokemon Sword and Shield in this The Crown Tundra expansion is every last Legendary creature from previous titles. So, in addition to all of the new features and items packaged in the DLC, players will get the chance to capture each of the monsters pictured below while playing through The Crown Tundra.
Pokémon Sword and Shield’s first expansion, The Isle of Armor, launched in June earlier this year, bringing summer-themed areas for players to explore. If you have yet to jump into the original 2019 release, a special edition bundle will launch Friday, Nov. 6 that includes the full Expansion Pass content (meaning The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra both) and either Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield. Nintendo has yet to reveal how much the bundle will cost but says that those that purchase this new version will get special bonuses, such as 100 Poké Balls and uniforms for Pikachu and Eevee.
While you wait for The Crown Tundra to launch next month, you can watch today’s presentation below.
