Dead Cells: Fatal Falls is the latest DLC for Motion Twin’s hit roguelike, and it’s launching early next year. A laid-back teaser trailer, some game details, and pricing were revealed today alongside the early 2021 release plans. This will be the game’s second paid DLC offering, coming in at $4.99 for players on the game’s myriad platforms, including Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. See a short look at some of Dead Cells’ new areas in the footage below.
Two new biomes, The Fractured Shrines and The Undying Shores, will be joined by a new boss for players to lose to. Motion Twin says the DLC offers “middle-run exploration” that will be just as challenging as all of the content that has come before. More details, such as some of Dead Cells: Fatal Falls’ new weapons, will be revealed sometime in the near future.
Motion Twin is also celebrating the news that Dead Cells has sold more than 3.5 million copies, marking a major milestone for its brutal roguelike.
Dead Cells: Fatal Falls follows up from the first paid DLC that arrived earlier this year, The Bad Seed. The Bad Seed brought a similar amount of new content for players to enjoy, including new areas to explore and another difficult boss to overcome.
