Happy Friday, everyone! Before we enjoy the weekend, let’s take a look at the video game news of the day. As you might’ve seen, the God of War himself, Kratos, has joined Fortnite for a limited time, a dedicated player beat the Flamelurker boss with a dance pad in the Demon’s Souls remake, and more. Here’s the video game news you might’ve missed on Dec. 4, 2020.
Kratos Has Joined Fortnite Across All Platforms
For a limited time, Fortnite players can grab the Kratos skin across all platforms. This is huge, considering the God of War character is a first-party PlayStation game, so seeing Kratos on a Nintendo Switch or Xbox console is unexpected and heartwarming. You have to buy him using V-bucks, which are acquired by leveling up the Fortnite Battle Pass or with real money. Check out the trailer below.
The victor of countless battles against gods and valkyries, Kratos turns to tackle the chaos of an exposed Zero Point.

Sequel/Expansion to Astro’s Playroom Is Possible Depending on ‘Popularity’
The hit PlayStation 5 launch pack-in, Astro’s Playroom, might get a sequel or follow-up of some kind, though nothing has been decided yet. In speaking with Edge magazine (as relayed by VGC), Sony Japan Studio head Nicolas Doucet said, “At this moment in time, there’s no plan for an extension of Astro’s Playroom, but I think it’s going to come down to the popularity of the game.” Fortunately, the game has received positive reviews, so we likely haven’t seen the last of Astro’s adventures.

Demon’s Souls’ Flamelurker Has Been Defeated with Dance Pad
For many players, simply getting through the Demon’s Souls remake is a major challenge. However, one player known as Luality on YouTube managed to defeat one of the game’s hardest bosses — Flamelurker — with a dance pad. Luality posted a video recently where they showed off the process in action. Flamelurker isn’t the hardest boss in the game, but it’s one of the few that cannot be “cheesed,” making it tremendously difficult to defeat with a regular controller and especially a dance pad. Now that Flamelurker has been taken down, Luality has defeated all of the game’s bosses with the dance pad. Check out the video below.
