Today’s a big day — we’ve got The Game Awards 2020 to look forward to later tonight and Cyberpunk 2077 has released after what felt like an eternity. Aside from that, there are some interesting video game news stories to jump into. Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077, it has already begun smashing records, Spider-Man: Miles Morales was the most downloaded PlayStation 5 game last month, and more. Here’s the video game news you might’ve missed on Dec. 10, 2020.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Was the Most Downloaded PS5 Game in November
Recently, Sony revealed the list of November’s most-downloaded PlayStation 5 games, and at the top of the charts was Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales in North America. Considering the superhero’s massive appeal and the fact that it was a less expensive game, this isn’t surprising, but it is nice to see it performing so well. Other notable titles are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Demon’s Souls taking the second and third spots, respectively.

Telltale said it would share more “when the time is right” and that we won’t get a look at it during The Game Awards 2020.

Today, CD Projekt Red announced that its new game was preordered 8 million times, not including additional sales made today. In addition, Cyberpunk 2077 has reached over a million active players on Steam and reached 1.1 million viewers on Twitch earlier today. Suffice to say, this game is going to be massive — possibly more than we could have imagined.
