Fans won’t have to wait much longer to hear more about Hollow Knight: Silksong, Team Cherry’s new addition to its universe. Gaming magazine Edge will debut plenty of new information on the game in its Dec. 31 issue, as confirmed by Jen Simpkins, who served as editor of the magazine before announcing her departure in November. One of two elegant covers for the next issue of Edge has been revealed, and you can expect interviews, demo impressions, and new screenshots.
Team Cherry presented a new demo, new screenshots and we did hours of interviews. They were so generous with their time even though they’ve been so busy developing the game, as they know the fans have been waiting so patiently for details. We worked hard to keep it a surprise.

Simpkins went on to say that the demo that Team Cherry presented only showed early portions of Hollow Knight: Silksong. It also sounds like you probably shouldn’t expect to see the demo arrive on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
Nearly two years of Nintendo Directs have come and gone without any substantial update on Team Cherry’s progress with Hollow Knight: Silksong. When it was first announced in February 2019, fans were surprised to learn that they would be getting a sequel, rather than DLC for the original 2017 game.
Hollow Knight: Silksong has no release date but is planned to launch for Nintendo Switch and PC. Hopefully, the incoming Edge reveal will give us more insight into when we can expect to get the game in our hands.
