Microsoft has announced at the Xbox Wire news blog that the latest entry in the long-running MLB baseball series, MLB The Show 21, will launch on Xbox Game Pass for Console upon its release on April 20. It will also come to Android phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
The standard edition of MLB The Show 21 is the version that’s included in the Xbox subscription service, and both Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S iterations of the game are available. MLB The Show 21 has cross-play, so players can interact and face off against others online regardless of the platform and generation they choose.

This is the franchise’s first outing on Xbox, and it’s making quite the splash. The series was originally exclusive to PlayStation platforms until recently when Sony San Diego announced that it was going multiplatform.
“We can’t wait for Xbox fans to experience the fastest, deepest, and most intense moment-to-moment baseball action yet,” says Jamie Leece, MLB Senior VP of Games & VR.
MLB The Show 21 is the second high-profile game outside of Xbox Game Studios that’s coming to Xbox Game Pass. Several weeks ago, Outriders was announced to be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one. The game officially launched yesterday to much fanfare and peaked at over 100,000 players on Steam.
