As a player community, we need to band together and do one of two things. We must reclassify “Asheron’s Call” as something other than an mmoRPG, or redefine roleplaying.
It’s assumed (quite naturally) that the RPG in the name classifies it as a roleplaying game. One assumes the role of a character within a fictional realm (such as Dungeons&Dragons etc.), and acts on behalf of this character to the best of his/her ability. Simply, RPGs are about adopting the world one plays in and acting accordingly.
