Steam started out as a program designed to break CounterStrike, but it eventually went on to reinvigorate PC gaming. I suspect Greenlight may do the same, given time. It could be a more curated version of the Apple App Store (and while I like the App Store, at least in theory, looking for good games on there is like bobbing for apples in a sea of molten dogshit). Unfortunately it’s being curated by the kind of people who voted for Postal 2. And that’s the biggest problem with democracy: Other people.
