Since PAX East is right around the corner we’re giving you our wishlist of characters that we’d like to see in cosplay form at the convention. So be prepared for some classic suggestions and some pretty unconventional ideas.
Every convention there are at least five different Deadpools, don’t get us wrong we aren’t complaining. What makes Deadpool an amazing character to cosplay is that whoever is playing Deadpool can get in character and do things that they would never normally do. Leave it to a Deadpool cosplayer to bring some hilarious experiences for everyone.
Captain America doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch for Cosplaying, once again you’re going to find more than your fair share of them at any con. With the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier we’re looking forward to all of the variations on the traditional Captain America look. This promises to be a chance to see some pretty interesting Captains.
The more popular characters get more attention, but what we think everyone would appreciate is a take on this oft forgotten character. Aquaman just doesn’t get the love that he deserves, he controls the majority of the Earth’s surface and yet he’s relegated to the B-list of heroes.
Guardians of the Galaxy will be hitting theaters before you know it, and because of that an increased appreciation for Rocket Raccoon would be awesome. I think that seeing someone cosplay a weapon laden rodent would brighten anyone’s day.
Dr. Clayton Forrester would be an amazing sight for those of you that know about Mystery Science Theater 3000. For those of you that don’t have a clue as to what MST3K is, we suggest that you go to Netflix straight away and get acquainted with the evil Doctor that is so much more sadistic than Dr. Doom. Cosplayers that tackle this legendary character are few and far between, but when you do come across this wonderful anomaly a smile will quickly form on that cynical face of yours.
Iron Man cosplayers are a dime a dozen, and they tend to have some of the most beautiful and intricate costumes around. How often have you come across War Machine? Not very often. This metal-clad hero doesn’t get the attention that they truly deserve but hopefully this year will be different.
All you need to have in order to cosplay as the beloved Bill Cosby is a sweater and a bit of wit. Not many have attempted the elusive Cos-Cosplay, which saddens all of us. Really, you don’t anything more than a sweater, a Jello pudding pop, and some flim flam on the zim zam.
This beloved, but mostly forgotten by cosplayers, character is ripe for the picking. How many times have you seen Commissioner James Gordon at a con? Not enough is the correct answer. This character doesn’t take much to cosplay and he’s one of the few characters from the DC universe that hasn’t gotten any cosplay love.
