Sony has sent word that more PS3 units will ship for Black Friday.
Sony has informed the press that more systems will be in stores for Black Friday and weekly shipments are expected all the way up to Christmas. Reiterating that they are working hard on reaching one million units shipped by the end of the year, Sony was unable to give specific numbers.
“Due to the immediate nature of these shipments, we will not be providing weekly updates on North American supplies.”
According to Sony, the buzz surrounding the PS3 had a “halo” effect on other Sony game systems, boosting sales of the PSP and and PS2 systems. The most popular launch title was Resistance: Fall of Man followed by Madden 2007.
