Movie-list.com has put up a new trailer for the soon-to-be-released Uwe Boll movie, Postal.
Based on the 1997 game of the same name, Postal tells the tragic tale of a recently-unemployed man who teams up with his cult-leader uncle to rob the local amusement park, unaware that the Taliban are in town with their eyes on the same target.
Developed by Running With Scissors, the Postal series is known for its extreme and gratuitous violence and an intentional courting of controversy. Despite being named one of the ten worst games of all time by PC World, it has spawned a franchise that includes a full-blown sequel as well as numerous add-ons including Share the Pain, Classic and Uncut and the Postal Fudge Pack.
Boll, a German director, producer and screenwriter, is well-known among gamers for his numerous videogame-to-movie translations, including Bloodrayne, Alone in the Dark and the upcoming Dungeon Siege Tale. The movie is scheduled to debut in August at the San Francisco Festival of Fantastic Film, with a general release in the U.S. following in late September.
