Activision Nets $1.48 Billion In Q3 Net Revenue

A report released today by Activision shows how good the holiday sales season was for the publisher, and provides an update on their upcoming merger with Vivendi Games.

The figures shown in the report state that Actvision raked in a record $1.48 billion in net revenue during the third quarter, an 80 percent increase over the $824 million they earned during the 2007 holiday season. As a result, the company has also raised its net revenue outlook by $200 million, from $2.45 billion to $2.65 billion.

Much of the increase in revenue is seen to be driven by an increase in sales across the industry, and the success of developer Infinity Ward‘s Call of Duty 4.

The report also notes that the merger with Vivendi Games is proceeding as planned, and should be finished during the first half of 2008, pending clearance from regulatory commissions.
