Sony has reported its yearly financial results, showing growth in revenues and profits.
The company’s combined divisions registered $84.4 billion, a 6.9 percent improvement on last year, with net income of $3.51 billion, almost triple that of last year.
While the electronics division, building sales and financial business contributed to success, the video game unit also did well, posted a 26.3 percent yearly improvement.
Sony said lower production costs for the PlayStation 3 and the high Japanese sales of the PlayStation Portable helped reduce its losses by over $1 billion in the division.
