EA studio Digital Illusion CE has announced that a demo for the upcoming FPS Battlefield: Bad Company will be released in June.
The demo will include both single-player and multiplayer components, giving players a look at the game’s new “tactical destruction” capabilities as they go AWOL with a small group of soldiers searching for gold deep inside enemy lines. The single-player demo will insert players at the beginning of their careers with “B” Company, introducing them to the offbeat characters who will accompany them throughout the game, while the multiplayer action will show off the game’s Gold Rush mode on the “Oasis” map.
The demo will be released on June 5 over Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store. Early access to the demo can also be gained by pre-ordering the game from select retailers in North America and Europe. Details about the demo and the pre-order offer are available at the Battlefield: Bad Company website.
Battlefield: Bad Company is currently in development at Digital Illusion CE, and is slated to ship on June 25 in North America and June 27 in Europe for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For more information about the game, check out www.battlefield.com.
