Despite what some members of the press were desperate to believe, the rumors about the Dalai Lama being the latest Twitter convert have turned out to be false.

Even the Associated French Press believed the rumors that his Holiness, The Dalai Lama, had an account on Twitter. And soon 20,000 followers had flocked to hear his computerised teachings.

Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter, has said the account was suspended because it violated the site’s terms regarding impersonation. How he found out is anyone’s guess but one should always remember the words of the master, “Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something, and sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.”
