Scott Pilgrim Won’t Stay Committed to PS3 For Long

Scott Pilgrim just can’t be contained on one system, baby.

It’s been fairly common knowledge that the delightful-looking Scott Pilgrim tie-in videogame is going to be a timed exclusive for the PSN. What hasn’t been well-known, though, is just how long Xbox owners will have to wait before they can get in on some of the raucous comic book-style action. As it turns out, the wait is probably going to be shorter than anyone really expected.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is set to arrive on the PSN on August 10th, just before the movie hits theaters. The 360 version of the game, however, will become available on August 25th, so the wait really isn’t all that bad. The game will carry a price tag of 1200 MS Points.

Scott Pilgrim fans have a couple of options to kill the time until the movie and downloadable games are released. Aside from the fact that the comic series just wrapped up with Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour, there’s also a (free) iPhone game that’s actually a pretty charming send-up of Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out available on iTunes.
