The year’s big holiday sales begin tomorrow, with both Microsoft and Sony kicking things off with a week of digital deals.
Can you believe it’s already the holiday season of 2010? Once I finished lamenting how fast time flies when we’re you’re not paying attention, I also remembered that this means some amazing holiday sales have arrived as well. Starting tomorrow, Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network are starting digital sales initiatives that will hold some sweet deals on a variety of games.
Both sales will run from November 23-29. Sony is offering 15 PlayStation Network titles out of the PlayStation 3, PSP, and PSP Minis libraries that are each good for every day of the sale until it’s over. Notable inclusions are Joe Danger, Hello Games’ well received stunt/racing game, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the franchise’s latest PSP entry, and Dissidia: Final Fantasy, a giant RPG brawl. Xbox Live’s sale will apparently work a little differently, with Microsoft saying it’s going to be offering daily deals within the same time frame. These deals will also be for a variety of Xbox Live content including original Xbox downloads, Xbox Live Arcade games, and Zune movies. Microsoft has released a partial sampling of the titles that will go on sale through November 29, and also says that gamers will want to specifically check in on Black Friday (November 26) for a special day of deals.
