Ubisoft Takes Its Ill-Starred Kinect Fighting Game To Xbox One

You’ll need to read his moves. Also, try not to get hit so much.

Ubisoft has resurrected its Kinect exclusive Fighters Uncaged and repackaged it as Fighter Within, a new fighting game for Xbox One revealed at Gamescom 2013. Beat up your friends! It’s something you’ve always dreamed of, and this trailer will show you … actually, it won’t show you that much. But it looks pretty. That’s the important thing.

If you don’t remember the original, that’s because it was condemned by every reviewer under the sun. Bad gameplay and dodgy AI were the two sore points. Ubisoft was sued by UFC trademark holder Zuffa LLC over its catchphrase “Become the ULTIMATE FIGHTING weapon,” a suit that was later settled out of court. As part of the settlement, Ubisoft had to make changes to its box packaging, removing any trace of Zuffa’s trademark.

Is there a website? Yes, there is, but don’t expect to learn much from it. Looks like someone was in a hurry to clean up.
