Andor Trailer Builds Hype with Clone Troopers Ahead of Its 3-Episode Premiere

At D23, Lucasfilm shared the second, official trailer for Andor, the Star Wars series of political intrigue and clone troopers.

Disney’s D23 expo just showcased the new, official trailer for Star Wars spinoff show Andor, and it’s looking better than ever. Not many expected to see characters from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story return, so it’s been doubly surprising to see Andor promise one of the most impressive-looking Star Wars Disney+ shows so far. Today’s trailer is no different, with the 90-second video showcasing clone troopers, tense scenes, and spy-thriller action.

The show aims to convince viewers that a show focused on a side character is worthwhile, and judging by what we’ve seen so far, Disney might just pull it off. For a better look at Andor ahead of its premiere later this month, watch the D23 2022 official trailer below.

So far, Disney has used Disney+ to release a few live-action Star Wars shows, including The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The streamer has also told animated stories like The Bad Batch and Star Wars: Visions. Andor takes place before the events of Rogue One (obviously) and follows Diego Luna’s title character, Cassian Andor, as he navigates a galaxy far, far away and its struggles with the fallout from the rise of the Empire. Its three-episode premiere arrives September 21, 2022, so stay tuned for more news as the show continues.

In other D23 news, Lucasfilm premiered a new, in-depth trailer for Willow.
