The end is near, but for whom? AMC has released the very first, 15-second teaser for Better Call Saul season 6, the final season of the Breaking Bad prequel series starring Bob Odenkirk. To say things have become tense in this series would be an extraordinary understatement, and the teaser does nothing to cut that tension. It appears to depict the aftermath of the scene in Mexico at the end of season 5, and twin hitmen Leonel and Marco Salamanca stroll across the crime scene wearing their iconic silver skull boots. And although this Better Call Saul final season teaser video doesn’t explicitly reveal the release date of season 6, fans speculate that the date might be secretly hidden in it.
Crime scene markers are labeled “D” and “R,” which if counted to their corresponding order in the alphabet works out to 4 and 18. In other words, fans speculate the release date of Better Call Saul season 6 is Monday, April 18, 2022. Since the series traditionally airs on Mondays, it’s a pretty good guess.

However, while teaser videos and release dates are all well and good, only one question really matters in the end: Will Kim Wexler live? Everyone is rooting for Nacho too, of course, but as Darren Mooney has eloquently explained, Kim Wexler is one of the greatest characters ever seen on television. The final season of Better Call Saul will be the end of Jimmy McGill’s story, but there is at least an equal amount of investment in Kim’s story.
