Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Footage Leaks

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, multiplayer, Activision, Treyarch, leaked

A brief look at the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has leaked just days before the official reveal. Footage showed up on Reddit featuring a neon-lit new map, fast-paced gunplay, and more features that undoubtedly fit with Call of Duty. Activision’s Treyarch-developed mode will be fully unveiled on Sept. 9.

Despite the many familiar elements shown throughout, there are some differences from 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. For example, the video seems to show that players will have small health bars in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and the intro cinematic for this particular mode is a little more intense than the previous installment’s. As with most entries in Activision’s best-selling series, this year’s game will likely feel unique in its own way, even if this initial footage (below) has a fair amount in common with its 2019 counterpart.

This year’s Call of Duty installment has been leaked and subject to rumors for the last few months, with several reports accurately predicting the game’s setting, story, and developers. It wasn’t until last week, however, that Activision revealed Treyarch and Raven Software’s new take on the Black Ops series and how it will work with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s battle royale multiplayer standalone, Warzone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Nov. 13. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are also scheduled to release sometime this holiday season.
