Netflix’s Castlevania animated series returns for its third season in just one month. The streaming service’s NX Twitter account shared a March 5 release date, promising “more mystery, murder, mayhem, and vampires than ever.” Plus, there’s even some new art featuring which characters will play a role in season 3.

Other than the above announcement and the knowledge that the upcoming season will be 10 episodes long, Netflix has yet to reveal anything more specific about what’s in store for season 3’s story. The Castlevania series has made a name for itself with its gory action and pristine art style. Just after season 2 premiered in October of 2018, the show was renewed for a third season.
Castlevania writer, producer, and creator Warren Ellis teased today’s news yesterday.

Producer Adi Shankar has been busy bringing video games to the world of television. In November 2018, he announced plans to create a series based on the Devil May Cry franchise, and nearly a year later, Shankar was revealed to be involved with a show based on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, though neither animated spinoff show has been confirmed to come to Netflix.
Netflix also recently revealed plans to create a Witcher animated movie, which is seemingly focusing on Geralt’s mentor and friend, Vesemir.
