During today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, two especially surprising game announcements were made for Nintendo Switch: Remedy Entertainment’s Control Ultimate Edition – Cloud Version has launched on Switch today, and IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 – Cloud Version for Switch is in the works. Neither game runs natively on the hybrid system.
Control Ultimate Edition – Cloud Version is available right now to stream to your Nintendo Switch. More details about how this version works can be seen at the end of the game’s announcement trailer. It uses cloud streaming technology and requires players to test the game with a free launcher application for around five minutes before purchasing the Control Access Pass, which costs $39.99. Players must create a Nintendo Account and accept the agreement. Additionally, this service may not be available in all countries.

Hitman 3 – Cloud Version, created and self-published by IO Interactive itself, will most likely function in the same way. The PC, current-generation, and next-generation console versions of Hitman III will release on Jan. 20, 2021. There is no confirmation of whether or not the Cloud Version will hit that same release date yet.
Resident Evil VII came to Nintendo Switch via a Cloud Version back in May 2018 in Japan, and now Western territories finally have the option of cloud gaming as well.
