Even though The Game Awards 2023 hasn’t officially started yet, the pre-show is currently ending. During it, a free crossover between Dave the Diver and Dredge was announced.

Dave will be exploring the underwater world of Dredge in this DLC. It will launch on December 15.
Of course, this crossover event will make the relatively carefree world of Dave the Diver scarier. The terrifying monsters from Dredge will make an appearance. There will be a new “fog” weather event that will introduce the Dredge content, players will be able to drive Dave’s boat like you do in Dredge, and a new night map will be made available. You will also be able to catch aberrations, you’ll gain access to a new weapon, and “Hooded Figures” will appear who will want to partake in the new dishes you make from the Dredge fish.
Gamers can play Dave the Diver and Dredge on Nintendo Switch and Steam. I have yet to play either of them but they both pique my interest in different ways. I love the absurdity of Dave the Diver and the Lovecraft influence on Dredge. I will certainly pick them both up at some point before diving into this crossover event.
