Prolific British writer Antony Johnston has hinted that his next video game project will be unveiled at Sony’s PlayStation 5 “The Future of Gaming” event later this week. On Twitter, the script writer for Dead Space and Binary Domain confirmed that he has been working on “a big videogame” for the last two years. To this, he added “you should all watch the PS5 launch event on Thursday.” He jokingly called that second part “unrelated,” which of course means precisely the opposite and that we can expect a new project from him imminently.
As some of you know, I’ve been working on a big videogame for almost 2 years now.
In totally unrelated news, you should all watch the PS5 launch event on Thursday.

Beyond video games like Dead Space, Johnston has a robust background in comics, creating The Coldest City (later adapted into the film Atomic Blonde), co-creating the post-apocalyptic series Wasteland, and contributing to several Marvel series including Daredevil and Wolverine.
Sony’s much-anticipated event is expected to provide new details on the company’s next-gen strategy, as well as the first look at some of the games expected to arrive during the new console’s launch window. It will take place on Thursday, June 11 at 9 p.m. BST / 4 p.m. ET, after a week’s delay in light of the Black Lives Matter protests that have gripped the U.S. The Escapist Indie Showcase will occur on Thursday as well, beginning at noon ET.
