Publisher 505 Games revealed that the Death Stranding PC release will be out in just a few months. The highly anticipated port of Hideo Kojima’s first release since departing from Konami will be out June 2, 2020. The open-world action game originally released on PlayStation 4 late last year on Nov. 8, 2019. The celebrity-filled title picked up several awards at the Game Awards 2019 as it won Best Game Direction, Best Music, and Best Performance.
That wasn’t all that was revealed in the PC release date trailer, though. The 30-second clip also shows off a new Half-Life crossover exclusive to this new port that will release simultaneously on the Epic Games Store and Steam. Norman Reedus’ character, Sam Porter Bridges, is seen with a valve on his head, wearing the gloves from Half-Life: Alyx and donning a Headcrab helmet. Beyond this new crossover content, the PC version of Death Stranding will also feature a photo mode, high frame rate, and ultra-wide monitor support.
Every purchase of the title will also get a slew of bonus content that includes selections from The Art of Death Stranding digital art book, the game’s original score by Ludvig Forssell (including 10 unreleased tracks), and some in-game bonuses like Ludens Mask sunglasses, a gold and silver power skeleton, gold and silver all-terrain skeleton, and gold and silver armor plate LV2. Those that preorder the Death Stranding PC release will get even more in-game bonuses, plus HD wallpapers. These include chiral gold and omnireflector sunglasses, a chiral gold and omnireflector cap, gold and silver speed skeleton, and a gold and silver armor plate.
