Deep Silver, the publisher behind titles like Metro and Dead Island, is warning gamers not to get their hopes up about seeing either of those games at E3 — or any of the other titles you might reasonably expect the company to show. While parent company Koch Media is planning to make an announcement at an E3-adjacent event, none of Deep Silver’s major franchises will be featured in the coming news.
Deep Silver revealed in a tweet that Koch Media will make an announcement on June 11 during the Summer Games Fest. It added, “To give you a head’s up, you won’t see Dead Island, Saints Row, Metro, or TimeSplitters there (or at any other E3 2021 event). We’ll let you know when we have news to share.”

We already know that Deep Silver’s various studios are working on new Saints Row and Metro games, as well as a revival of the TimeSplitters franchise. There have also been rumors that Dead Island might finally be pulled from the development hell it’s stuck in. However, none of those things will be shown at E3. Whether that’s because they’re not far enough along in development is a matter of speculation.
So if Deep Silver’s E3 showing won’t feature any of those games, it begs the question: What will Koch Media be revealing at the Summer Games Fest? Deep Silver responded to a question asking what would be revealed by tweeting, “(It’s) Koch’s show – you will have to tune in to find out!” It also provided a link to a site for viewing Koch’s event, called “We know something you don’t know,” which has a currently inactive Twitch stream.
