There’s a new Destiny expansion titled Rise of Iron, but if you’ve been playing on PS3 and 360, you’re out of luck.
During a livestream on their Twitch channel today, Bungie unveiled the newest expansion for Destiny, titled Rise of Iron. The new expansion will add an entirely new are of Earth called The Plaguelands, and it will add a slew of new content. That content will include a new cooperative three-player Strike, a new six-player raid named Felwinter Peak, a new mutated Fallen faction, and an increase to the maximum light level. There will also be some PlayStation timed exclusive content when the expansion launches, but Bungie didn’t detail what that would entail just yet.
If you’re interested in trying out the expansion, you’ll need the base game and The Taken King expansion. You’ll need to be playing on PS4 and Xbox One as well, as Bungie announced that the new expansion will not be coming to PS3 or Xbox 360.
Anyone who plays the expansion will be able to lay their hands on the Gjallarhorn exotic rocket launcher, and those who pre-order will receive the limited-edition, black and silver Iron Gjallarhorn through a quest in the expansion.
Rise of Iron is set to release on September 20, 2016, and will cost $29.99.
