Disney Delays Mulan, The New Mutants, and Antlers Indefinitely

Disney+ streaming Mulan international box office over United States US theaters, Disney Marvel The New Mutants, Antlers, Mulan delayed indefinitely for coronavirus COVID-19

Disney is delaying the release of three of its upcoming movies: Mulan, The New Mutants, and Antlers. Fears of the coronavirus are continuing to tear through the film industry, with Disney being the pandemic’s latest victim. Mulan was originally scheduled to release in North America on March 27, The New Mutants on April 3, and sci-fi horror movie Antlers on April 17 – all three films now have no release date. Mulan’s international premiere had already been postponed once before for the same reason.

Those keeping up with The New Mutants will remember that this isn’t the first time this Marvel film has been pushed either. In fact, the movie was first scheduled to premiere in April of 2018 and has now been delayed five times. The New Mutants received its first trailer in quite some time earlier this year.

Antlers was directed by Scott Cooper (Hostiles, Crazy Heart) and produced by Guillermo del Toro. The film follows a teacher (Keri Russell), her sheriff brother (Jesse Plemons), and a boy (Jeremy T. Thomas) who begins to interact with a mysterious creature.

The elephant in the room is Disney and Marvel’s Black Widow, which is currently still set to premiere on May 1, 2020. So far, Disney has no plans to move the movie’s release date.
