Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Teaser Trailer Lands Online

Marvel Studio Doctor Strange 2 The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser trailer Sam Raimi

Marvel did something a bit different with the second post-credits sequence for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Instead of a funny aside (shwarma), the studio decided to drop the entire teaser trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Now, for those very few people who haven’t seen No Way Home, they’ve released the full trailer online.

Obviously, the film is closely tied to No Way Home as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) played a huge role in the movie, and now his actions, which ripped open the multiverse alongside Loki ripping open the timelines and WandVision creating new realities, have caused some issues. Issues that Doctor Strange is clearly going to have to handle along with Scarlet Witch, who makes an appearance here.

The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser trailer doesn’t give too much away in terms of plot but does reveal that we will be seeing evil Doctor Strange from Marvel’s What If… animated series. If you thought for a second you could start skipping some of the Marvel content, then this clearly shows that everything is connected even if it seems unimportant.

There isn’t much here to hint at just how weird the movie will get, but given the mystical powers of Doctor Strange and the fact that Sam Raimi is directing, it will probably get really weird. Raimi has a unique visual style that he brought to the Tobey Macguire Spider-Man films, and hopefully it shows up here as well.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will open in theaters on May 6, 2022.
