Doom Eternal just got a new gameplay trailer, and as you may have guessed, there is a lot of ripping and tearing involved. Bethesda and Id Software released today’s trailer and made sure to pack it with more Doom action than ever before. As a nice surprise though, this new footage also details some background on the world of Doom Eternal.

There might be some story elements in this trailer, but it doesn’t take long for the action to kick in. Here we get to see a few new gameplay moments, such as a slick new sword finishing move and new demons to slay. There was never any doubt Doom Eternal would bring the action upon release, so it is nice that some story elements were injected here, too.
The next Doom saw a delay last year, moving its initial release date from later in Nov. 2019 to March 20, 2020. At the time, Id said it wanted to make sure it is “delivering the best experience.” Doom 64 will also come with Doom Eternal (except on Google Stadia) if you preorder before release.
Bethesda and Id’s Doom Eternal launches for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia in March, and Nintendo Switch owners can expect to see the game release for their platform at a later date.
