Players who purchased Doom Eternal or The Elder Scrolls Online on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will receive the upgraded versions for free. Bethesda is also working on making the current versions of both games backwards compatible with the next-generation consoles.

Bethesda confirmed that any additional next-generation ports of its titles will also be free upgrades for anyone who purchased the current-generation console version. At this time, Bethesda does not have anything else to share about what other titles will make the transition to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.

Doom Eternal revealed its first batch of screenshots for its upcoming DLC campaign back in May. Hopefully, the game’s DLC and Season Pass are also transferable to the next-generation versions of the game.

Doom Eternal was released back in March after being delayed from its planned launch in November 2019. The Switch version in particular has still yet to see a release, but a release date announcement should be coming soon.
