The Dragon Age: Inquistion Collector’s Edition includes plenty of content, but at a hefty price.
Dragon Age: Inquisition releases on October 7th (October 10th for Europe) and the Collector’s Edition will give players a lot of extra toys.

BioWare returns to the world of Thedas in the third game of the Dragon Age franchise on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Fans that are willing to spend $170 for the Collector’s Edition will have a lot on their hands. The physical content includes:

  • a cloth map of Thedas
  • a tarot card deck
  • a six-piece lock pick set
  • a quill and inkpot
  • a 40-page Inquisitor’s Journal
  • Orlesian Coins

The package includes the Deluxe Edition (normally $70), which gives players the game soundtrack, weapons, gear, and cosmetic items.

Marc Darrah, Executive Producer of the Dragon Age franchise, revealed the Collector’s Edition on his Twitter earlier today. Darrah announced that pre-orders were available through GameStop websites in the US and Europe. He also stated that the Collector’s Edition would be a limited run and that it would be exclusive to GameStop.

The price increase from the regular or even the deluxe edition of the game is steep. After that, fans still have to consider if they have space for all that stuff, even if some of it is very unique for a collector’s edition. The lock picking set is intended to open a hidden compartment of the collector’s edition, rather than to help fans recover from the expense of the game.

For players that can survive without a crate of swag, the regular ($60) and deluxe ($70) edition will still provide you with a full Inquisiting experience.
