Dragon Quest XI S Comes to PS4, Xbox One, & PC This December

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One and later this year. Square Enix revealed during today’s Xbox Games Showcase pre-show that the upgraded version of its 2017 RPG will come to Xbox One on Dec. 4, 2020, and then additional announcements confirmed it would come to the other platforms. This definitive version of the Dragon Quest XI experience first launched on Nintendo Switch last year.

Watch the announcement video below. Note that Dragon Quest XI S is seeing a launch on Xbox Game Pass, too, so those that subscribe to Microsoft’s game service will be able to jump in.

The original Dragon Quest XI launched in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Square Enix provided a short description describing what comes with the S version of its acclaimed RPG:

The Definitive Edition includes all the content from the original release of the acclaimed DRAGON QUEST XI, and adds extra character-specific scenarios, the choice of playing with the original soundtrack or a grand orchestral version of the music, the ability to switch between 2D and 3D graphic modes, a Japanese voice-acting option, and much more!
