Dying Light 2 Stay Human will include more than enough content for even the most die-hard fans. The franchise’s official Twitter account posted an infographic today indicating that Dying Light 2 will take “at least” 500 hours to “fully complete.” The tweet likened the length of time required to that needed to walk from the Polish capital of Warsaw to the Spanish capital of Madrid, a distance of some 1,770 miles. [Update: Techland has offered additional clarification the game’s length.]
Techland later reiterated that that daunting 500 hours figure applies to only a 100% completion rate of Dying Light 2. Even so, the core game remains pretty beefy, with the team estimating that main story and side quest content for most players will take between 70 and 80 hours to complete. And it seems that’s only the tip of iceberg, as the team has plans to support Dying Light 2 for “quite a few years forward.” It’s a bigger and more ambitious project than its 2015 predecessor, with a much stronger focus on the story.

After several delays that pushed the release far beyond its originally scheduled early 2020 release window, Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be available for all major gaming platforms on February 4. That puts the game up against some stiff competition for player attention, with Sony’s Horizon Forbidden West and FromSoftware‘s Elden Ring both launching just a few short weeks later.
