The Kickstarter page for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has gone live. The game is being produced by Rabbit & Bear Studios, made up of veteran Suikoden developers. The project has a funding goal of just above $500,000 with a PC release. If the project hits the $1M stretch goal, then console versions will be unlocked.
The new reveal trailer presents the four main developers on the team in a very lighthearted and comical fashion, dressed up as heroes and putting a cardboard box together as their “fort.”
Koji Igarashi, who is known for Castlevania and creating the Bloodstained franchise, shows up as “The Boss.” While he tries to threaten our heroes, they summon 100ish new people to help fight Igarashi, eluding to the game’s theme of having 100 characters.
The trailer closes out with some gameplay showing off its 2.5D art style, with a character running through a busy town. The same battle teaser that was posted last week makes an appearance as well.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is currently set to release in fall 2022 on PC. The studio has also confirmed that the game will not be locked to any key PC platform and will refuse to sign any exclusivity contract, saying, “You are taking the initial risk with us, and we will not leave you out to dry.”
